Finland was part of Sweden until 1809. In the 1740's Sweden started to built Suomenlinna - then Sveaborg - which became one of the most importrant naval fortresses in the world. During this time several Swedish royalties visited Suomenlinna eg. King Adolf Frederick and King Gustaf III. You will have spectacular views of Suomenlinna, including the inner bay and King's Gate. You will hear about the history of Suomenlinna and some interesting stories about the royalties added with historical pictures. Today Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
